Beach Cities Interfaith Services

Linda Rose

Some words from Linda

I am a Board member of Beach Cities Interfaith Services (BCIS) and a volunteer at St. Peter's by the Sea Presbyterian Church in Huntington Beach where BCIS pays for a P.O. Box and we receive our organization's mail, but also the mail for homeless individuals living in our community. I, along with members of St Peter’s who assist me each week, hand out the mail. It is so important that people in our community who are unhoused have an address where their mail can come and where they can receive their benefits, paperwork, or even personal mail from family and friends. St. Peter's by the Sea is also one of BCIS' referral partners who sends individuals and families to apply for one-time grants to help them keep their housed and off the streets. Please support me and BCIS in the Help Them Home campaign to prevent homelessness and help those who already homeless find a place to live.

The Beach Cities Interfaith Services Story

Beach Cities Interfaith Services provides micro-grants (averaging $800-$1,000) to keep our home-challenged neighbors housed. To ensure accountability and maximize impact, BCIS pays funds directly to the landlords or vendors. A small gift can open the door to stability, safety, and a second chance to individuals, children and their families, single women, seniors, and veterans who are on the verge of losing their housing due to job loss, medical expenses, or another unforeseen event.
