As a nonprofit fundraising professional, I believe that funding changes the dynamics of an organization. It allows great programs like BCIS to do the work it does, and encourages donors and volunteers to become part of a movement or cause that really changes their communities and the world. BCIS has a mission to prevent homelessness before it even occurs, saving individuals, children and their families, single mothers, seniors, and veterans the pain and suffering of living on the streets. Please consider a donation to BCIS as we join nonprofits around Orange County to rally around one day a year to raise money to help people find or keep their housing.
Beach Cities Interfaith Services provides micro-grants (averaging $800-$1,000) to keep our home-challenged neighbors housed. To ensure accountability and maximize impact, BCIS pays funds directly to the landlords or vendors. A small gift can open the door to stability, safety, and a second chance to individuals, children and their families, single women, seniors, and veterans who are on the verge of losing their housing due to job loss, medical expenses, or another unforeseen event.
