Help Me Honor My Brother David - Richard Lopez

on behalf of Mercy House
Some words from Richard

As you may recall, I joined Mercy House as an Executive Board Member 10 years ago. My primary reason for joining was twofold - Regina Residence and Emmanuel Residence.

Regina Residence is two homes in Santa Ana that provide a permanent place to stay for mothers and their children. Whenever I volunteer at Regina Residence, I can envision me, my mom, and my siblings living there. My heart is always warmed whenever I visit, or volunteer at, Regina Residence. It is a great place for single moms and their children to find their way back home and begin to re-build.

Emmanuel Residence also provides permanent housing for single adults living with HIV/ AIDS. I lost my big brother, David Lopez, to HIV/ AIDS in 1991, I have committed to always be an advocate for those living with HIV/AIDS to honor my brother Davey... For our “Help Them Home" campaigns, I have raised nearly $30,000... I would like to continue to grow this number in remembrance of my Big Brother David... Please help me accomplish this by donating today...

I enthusiastically support Mercy House's mission. Please help me in honoring my brother David, supporting this great organization, and having a more positive impact on the community in which I live by helping end homelessness. Thank you for your support and generosity!! 😊

The Mercy House Story

A PLACE TO CALL HOME CHANGES EVERYTHING

There is a moment we never get tired of witnessing at Mercy House.

It is the moment someone unlocks the door to their own home for the very first time.

Not a shelter bed.
Not a temporary stop.
A real front door that is all their own.

Inside that moment lives relief, dignity, and the quiet exhale of knowing you are finally safe.

At Mercy House, this is the moment we are working toward every single day. And on April 22nd, you can help make it possible.

Through Help Them Home, your gift removes the final barriers that stand between someone and permanent housing. Transportation. Application and move in fees. A safe place to stay while housing is secured.

On April 22nd only, your gift can go twice as far. Thanks to generous matching sponsors, every dollar donated will be doubled, helping twice as many individuals and families move into stable homes.

Children sleeping through the night.
Parents planning for the future.
Neighbors rebuilding their lives with dignity.

This is what your gift makes possible.

Last year, Mercy House served almost 10,000 individuals across California and Arizona. Today, many more are still waiting for that door to open.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 on April 22. Give now and double your impact!

Make your gift. Start a fundraiser. Share this mission.
