After years of battling substance abuse, I fought my way to sobriety in 2020—a journey that changed everything. Today, I have the privilege of giving back as an assistant house manager for Action Alliance Foundation (AAF), helping others take those same courageous steps toward recovery.
AAF is more than a nonprofit. It's a lifeline. We provide safe, supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness while they rebuild their lives from addiction. Every day, I see firsthand what’s possible when someone is given not just shelter, but structure, community, and hope.
That’s why I’m raising funds TODAY, April 22, through the Help Them Home Giving Day.
This is your moment to make a real difference. When you give, you’re not just donating. You're opening doors, restoring dignity, and helping someone believe in their future again. And right now, your impact can go even further: the first $1,000 in gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar by an anonymous donor.
Whether it’s $5, $50, $500, or another amount, your gift will help provide the tools, support, and community our residents need to build lasting sobriety and reclaim their lives.
Please join me. Be part of someone’s turning point. Help transform a life today.
Every night, up to 159 men and women walk through the doors of an Action Alliance Foundation (AAF) residence. They carry the weight of homelessness, unemployment, and recovery from substance abuse. Many carry the challenge of a mental health diagnosis as well.
At AAF, they find more than just a bed—they find safety, structure, and a path forward. Within the walls of our residences, recovery comes alive through the power of community: shared stories in Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous, guidance from mentors who have fought and won their own battles, and the stability of a place to call home.
Here, isolation gives way to connection, despair to purpose, and uncertainty to hope. AAF doesn’t just provide shelter—it ignites transformation, helping individuals reclaim their lives and step into a future filled with possibility.
