When I was a young mom, there were times when money was so tight and I could barely afford food or rent, and the fear of losing our home was overwhelming. At one point, I was working three jobs and would take my baby with me to one of the jobs. Now we "Give Back" together! That's why helping others avoid the same struggle is so important to me. Beach Cities Interfaith Services provides micro-grants (averaging $800-$1,000) to keep our home-challenged neighbors housed. To ensure accountability and maximize impact, BCIS pays funds directly to the landlords or vendors. A small gift can open the door to stability, safety, and a second chance to individuals, children and their families, single women, seniors, and veterans who are on the verge of losing their housing due to job loss, medical expenses, or another unforeseen event.
